| Paperback or Hard Cover? | | Which do you prefer, paperback books or hardcover? Why?
When I was younger I always prefered paperback...plus most of the teen books I read were always in paperback, so maybe I just got used to them like that.
Recently, within the last year, I started going to a new library. This library has very few paperbacks, it's almost entirely hardcover. I have now gotten used to them. I tend to do a lot of reading laying on my stomach in bed and hardcover books stay open easier when reading like that. That is probably why I prefer them now.
When it comes to buying books, I tend to buy paperbacks just becaue they are cheaper. I sometimes get hardcovers if they are on clearance at the bookstore.

| | Paperback or hard cover | | Do you have a preference? I normally prefer to read a paper back book because it's easier to hold. I feel that Hard Cover books can be uncomfortable and bulky in my hands, but a paperback book lets me curl up and enjoy it better. | |

| | Encyclopedias a thing of the past? | | I was tutoring the other day and the material we were supposed to cover was using reference materials. The lesson was on using encyclopedias. This student looked at me and said, "What's an encyclopedia?" I was floored.[em]confused[/em]Then I realized that students dont' even need encyclopedias since we have google! I taught the lesson using key words we would use to look things up on line rather than in an ecyclopedia! Does anyone remember laboring through looking stuff up in an old school encyclopedia? | |

| Do You Prefer E-Books or Hard-Copy Books? | | Nowadays with the advancement of technology and the internet, e-books are becoming more popular. So, the question is, do you prefer to read on your computer or notebook or do you prefer to have a hard-copy book to read?Although e-books are much more convenient, but I still prefer the traditional hard-copy books where I can flip the pages and put a bookmark on. | |
| | Hardcover or Paperback? | | I'm a paperback girl myself. What do you like better? And why?
For me, it's something about it not being quite as heavy and being a little more compact. What about you?(And yes, I understand this isn't really a dicussion-worthy question. lol).[em]happy[/em]

| | Do you love reading pocketbooks | | I do have a collection of pocketbooks and the most I have are romance novels. I really enjoy reading them and there are some of them that I was able to finish reading in just a matter of one or two days. I truly give myself to reading when the story is really beautiful. How about you? Do you also love reading pocketbooks? | |

| Paperbacks Or Hardcover: which do you prefer? | | I love to read and I get many books from various sources. Some are borrowed and some are given to me. Some I buy new and others I get used. I love hardcover books, especially when they are new. They aren't convenient to carry with me though. I can't just toss it in my bag when I have to go somewhere and want some reading material like a doctor's office.
Also, paperbacks are not only convenient to carry, but they are much cheaper. They are also easier to store. Which do you prefer, hardcover or paperbacks and where do you get your books from most of the time?
| | e-books on the interent vs. bound books | | I've always loved reading. To date, i still really prefer to read bound books. I just discovered recently though that a lot of bound books also have e-book counterparts. I'm a little scared. Does this mean the the future will no longer have bound books? Is the digital virtual world really taking over? | |
